Starting a Design Business
Starting a Design Business? Well then you came to the right place. I am a full time Web Designer and Developer who has worked full time at a business for 2 years. This blog is a spotlight on my life in this transition I want to be able to share everything from the highs of receiving a new client all the way down to the lows of having to deal with taxes. I will try to remain anonymous while I continue my writing here.
I’m actually Starting a Web Design Business…
I think the name might be a little misleading but i feel that situations and the ideas that present themselves will hopefully effect people starting any kind of business. Now that we got that out of the way I would like To give you all the low down on my situation. I am a younger man newly engaged and looking to accomplish my dream of being able to work for myself, doing what I love…design. Not to mention get some extra cash to afford the home that my soon to be wife and I are looking forward to living in. I work full time for a business near me with a design department of about 16 people. This place has taught me a lot of things to prepare me to give starting a design business a shot. After being there for more than 2 years now, at this point its starting to teach me more of what i shouldn’t do.
Starting Some Where
My working quarters are limited right now to a small office in the back of a relatives house. I pay them $50.00/month for the space which comes with electricity and internet, which is really all we need when starting a web design business. I have a desk setup with a couple office supplies and a nice comfortable headset for calling clients. I don’t have much beyond the essentials but i have a huge passion for design and web design in particular. I will try my best to make sure my dream becomes a reality and i want to help anyone else out who will face the same situations that i will. That’s why i started this blog, and i hope you guys out there can benefit from my adventure!
